Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, and happy impending day off from work for those who don't.
In other news, I saw the movie "The Greatest Showman" with Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron, Zendaya and Rebecca Ferguson, and it was FUN! Yes, very sentimental, but so damn entertaining I couldn't bring myself to care. Excellent singing, dancing and trapeze artist action, which thoroughly distract from the gossamer-thin plot. It's not high art, but it was an extremely fun way to waste 2 hours.

I saw a few trailers and commercials, which suggested that neither Ryan Gosling nor Emma Stone were up to much in terms of the singing and dancing. If you don't cast competent singers and dancers, you won't be getting my hard-earned ticket money when it's in theatres, nor will I bother with the DVD.
