Young Miss Weaver keeps putting up a spirited defense against my attempts to put a topical steroid on her scratches. She is awfully wiggly. She also knows perfectly well that I don’t want to hurt her, which helps her wiggly endeavours.
Legionseagle drew my attention to a horrible infotainment news article in which (shock, awe!) all the comments were good! All the commenters were pointing out the myriad failings of the article, and there was nobody going “Hurr, hurr, such a funny story.” I am used to comments being a cesspool, so my world is askew. Also, it would appear that Billy Connolly is a mensch. Or, at any rate, not someone who silently condones sexual harassment. As Legionseagle says, it’s a low bar to set, having to congratulate someone for not engaging in behaviour that falls below the minimum expected level of decency, but there we are.
I think I’m going to stop reading things about the American election. It’s stressing me out. Also, it just goes on and on and frakking ON, for what seems like years. Neighbours to the south, kindly stop doing that!
glvalentine has a spoilery summary of what she liked about the first Bourne movie back in the day. Which was also the stuff I liked about “The Bourne Identity”. So if you’ve already seen it, hie yourself to her LJ. And if you haven’t seen it, what are you waiting for? By dumb action movie standards it’s surprisingly intelligent. Please note that I haven’t seen any of the sequels. I probably will on DVD at some point, but the trailers didn’t wow me and I got spoiled for something that happens in the second movie, and seeing the sequels just never happened.
Gakked from...somebody, here's an interesting article on why professional kitchens are so sexist. Sexism would appear to be the theme of the day here, quite unintentionally. I didn't go looking for it, stuff on the subject just appeared.
