I have had the kind of day where you stagger home, you lie on the couch for a while, think about ordering take-out for dinner, and then decide, "Fuck it, I already took my bra off. I'm not so desperately hungry that I have the energy to put it back on."

It was rough at the time, but funny in retrospect.

How are you doing? I'm well, glad it's the weekend, and Young Miss Weaver and Calico Fiend are continuing to co-exist with a certain amount of hostility, but really, they've mapped out their separate spheres of influence quite impressively given that this is a 1-bedroom flat and their separate territories are part of a 620 square foot space.

When last we spoke, you said you MIGHT be getting another cat. How's that going?

The new cat thing is moving forward very slowly. I texted New Cat (name of Pixel)'s ownder over the weekend and she's agreed in principle to bring her to me during the first half of November. I just have to prepare space so that she can be sequestered for the first week or so, then halfway through the week I can swap cat spaces over.

A friend recently got two new cats, bringing them into a space already occupied with her original cat, and they're strangers to each other. It hasn't gone all that well, while we were staying with her, there was an impressive cat fight on the stairs of her small house. Sounded like motorbikes.
