Nov. 14th, 2014 08:06 amSo, Vancouver people, I have been paying absolutely zero attention to municipal politics the past few years, and now the municipal elections are tomorrow. Who should I be voting for? This is your chance to blatantly influence the vote of an ignorant voter!!!
I had to go to the Hotel Vancouver the other day to drop off some paperwork that needed to be hand-delivered (it was faster and cheaper for me to walk it over than to hire a courier). They have a yellow Labrador snoozing in their lobby on a dog bed. Apparently he’s the hotel dog, and guests can take him for walks if they’re so inclined. It surprised me a little. Granted, it’s a fancy hotel, but some people are allergic to dog dander, and other people are afraid of dogs, especially large ones. Not that this lab looked like he’d hurt a fly. He was a sleepy old thing, but very sweet.
