I am wearing comfy shoes from Ecco,a nd they even have a wee heel to them, which is not hurting their comfort level at all. Not super-stylish, but not un-stylish either. Even Sister likes them, and she’s normally very exacting when it comes to shoes. Squeezes her feet into any torture devices as long as they’re in fashion. I’m still not convinced we came out of the same uterus. There could have been a mix-up at the hospital.

I am contemplating doing something drastic with my hair. I have a hair appointment on Sunday, and I’m seriously tempted to say, “just chop it all off”. I’ve had basically the same haircut for years: somewhere between chin-length and shoulder-length, with bangs (a fringe, in non-North American speak). I am tired of my haircut, but afeared I will regret something drastic. Plus, I’m 37. Short hair is a “statement” when you’re 22. When you’re 37 it runs the risk of being “sensible hair”. Are those asymmetrical cuts out of fashion by now? I kind of like the idea of them, but I don’t want to be wearing a 2011 hairstyle in 2014.

Oh MAN, how is it that hair has the ability to reduce me to the lowest common denominator? I don’t usually *care* about things like wearing a style from 3 years ago, as long as it’s comfy. But just thinking about changing my hairdo has me mentally flailing around like…my similes are failing me. Like a thing that flails in a shallow and idiotic way.

I like ECCO shoes but I find that they have a tendency for the inner sole to get loose quite quickly. Is that just my bad luck or corrosive feet, or have you noticed it?
