Mar. 11th, 2017 10:54 amNorth American folks, please don't forget the clocks go forward TONIGHT!
And I started my period this morning. I'm 40 and have never had the slightest use for my uterus or ovaries, so why do i have periods? And more importantly, how many sleeps until menopause? Don't get me wrong, I hear menopause is horrible, but I know several post-menopausal women who think being post-menopausal is the best thing ever.
I have 2 links to share. First up is Homeopathic A&E by a British comedy duo called Mitchell & Webb. I must investigate Mitchell & Webb further. Um, if you are a big believer in homeopathy, probably DON'T watch the video. I'm not a believer, so I thought it was hilarious rather than offensive.
A really fascinating and well-written article (link stolen from someone on my f-list/dwircle, I don't remember who. If you comment, I'll give you credit) about Farscape in general and Aeryn Sun's feminist journey in particular. And the best part is the interview features a NEW interview with Claudia Black, who played Aeryn. The show ended over a decade ago, so the old interviews with the actors and other creative types have all been picked over long ago. But somehow a reporter convinced Ms. Black to revisit Aeryn.
Apparently Buffy the Vampire Slayer is now 20 years old. Fuck it, I'm suddenly feeling ancient! But then
musesfool pointed out that Bucky Barnes turned 100 years old yesterday, and suddenly I feel youthful.
