Months ago I posted about a CA:TWS fic that I'd read but couldn't remember the title or author of, and yesterday I finally got off my butt and joined the comm avengers_search to ask if anybody there remembered it. I hit pay dirt!

Please run, don't walk to read You Know I Dreamed About You, by Napricot. So good! It's an AU in which Bucky somehow manages to communicate with Steve through dreams while in cryo, and tips the Avengers off that A) he's alive and is the Winter Soldier and B) Secretary Pierce is HYDRA. The events of the movie still happen, but differently, because Steve is going into danger with arms wide open. It sounds hokey as hell, but it's not in the slightest.

Oh, and I ordered Season 1 of "Underground" on DVD because people all over my f-list have been enthusing over it like crazy. Plus, it has Aldis Hodge from "Leverage". It comes out June 14.

Oh, and it looks like the Clovis theory of human origins in North and South America is definitely exploded. Really interesting article: Sinkhole Discovery Suggests Ancient Humans in Florida 14,500 Years Ago.

Looks like I'm going to be a foster mom. No, not to a child (no social worker worth their salt would let ME loose on a fragile small human being), but it looks like Young Miss Weaver and I will be having a special feline guest until the end of December.

This is good. I mean, it's also terrible, in that I'm going to have to scoop the litter box twice as often and spend twice as much on cat food, but it's also temporary. I will probably get terribly attached and grieve when he has to go back home.

Getting kind of excited here, to be honest. Now to tell my mother. Gulp.
