Gakked from
musesfool, great meta on
Princess Leia. She was the great heroine of my pre-teen years, and the article helps explain why. And is a funny article, to boot. Just to be clear, this is an article about Princess Leia from the
original trilogy with no evil spoilers for Carrie Fisher's role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Owing to complicated reasons, I probably won't see the movie until right after Christmas. Which means anybody who spoils me for any major plot points will be cut from my f-list/dwircle with
immediate effect. I'm not a total spoilerphobe. If you want to squee or complain in general terms above the spoiler cut, I won't throw a tantrum. But please be at least a little bit careful, if you wish to avoid my wrath.
And a (very long, but still fascinating) article about
Jose Mourinho down the years, gakked from someone on
ontd_football.
Finally, does
Monsieur Lazhar have a sad ending or a happy ending? I know it's a serious movie, but does it end on an uplifting or a depressing note? I'm considering spending some of my Christmas money on it (money I don't have yet, but that's a minor detail), but I can't handle movies with sad endings right now. I can get through a melancholy movie only if I know it all comes out in the wash, as opposed to "Rocks fall, everybody dies" and the like. I don't want to know the
details, so please, if you've seen it, no spoilers, just "Yes, happy enough ending that Rain won't be crying hysterically," or "No, you will indeed be crying hysterically."
And now to bed.
