twistedchick, a summary and explanation of the Hobby Lobby US Supreme Court decision.
In other news, I had totally forgotten that I had two Purdy's orange creams sitting on my desk, so I ate them after I got home from work. Yum. But a little worrisome, because I think I might be developing early-onset dementia. I have never in my life forgotten about chocolate before, especially expensive chocolate. It's the beginning of the end!
I have started reading Child of a Hidden Sea by A.M. Dellamonica. So far it's excellent. Full disclosure: I am acquainted with A.M. Dellamonica. That's not why I'm reccing the book, but there could be a perception of conflict of interest, so I'm declaring it right now.
Oh, and my co-worker loved Naomi Novik's first Temeraire book, His Majesty's Dragon, so I brought her Throne of Jade, Black Powder War, Empire of Ivory and Victory of Eagles. Those should keep her busy for a while. I suppose for the sake of Novik's sales figures, I should urge my co-worker to buy the books herself instead of lending them to her, but she's kind of broke right now. And my other co-worker thinks the Yes Minister book is hilarious. All in all, I am a good book pusher.
