Feb. 19th, 2014 04:54 pmMy cold is back, and the Mark 2 version is worse. Ugh. Colds are just so undignified.
I had to laugh at this, though, in spite of my undignified state. Adnan Januzaj is a very talented infant who plays football for Manchester United (he looks about 12 but is apparently 18). The infant got his very first kiss and tell story in the tabloids, notable because it features no kissing whatsoever. I can't decide whether my favourite part is where his mom dropped him off for the date, or the part where they got a hotel room and proceeded to...watch TV until the daring hour of 9 pm, at which point he asked his date to drive him home. Given what some overpaid 18 year old athletes get up to, I think there are worse things he could do than go on a horrendous date and be publicly branded a cheapskate.
Work has been sending out progressively more irate emails reminding people not to live-stream Winter Olympic TV coverage on their computers, because it blows out the bandwidth (and anyway, we're kind of supposed to be working). The first email was very understanding of employee joy in the Olympics. Today's version was less so.
I have discovered that Liberte yogurt is only available in Canada. This is tragic for my brethren south of the border, because that's some damn fine yogurt. I'm not actually eating it right now because dairy products make colds worse, but there's a container sitting in my fridge saying, "Eat me, eat me!"
Edited to add: Apparently the lady at the supermarket was wrong, and you CAN get Liberte yogurt in the US. On with the dance, let the joy be unconfined!
