Jan. 7th, 2014 03:55 pmI don’t feel like I should complain about the drizzle outside, not with back east in the grip of a polar vortex (that even *sounds* bad) and the UK having these epic storms and lots of flooding. To those being affected by Arctic air currents or floods, good luck. I can handle a little bit of drizzle.
My phone is being weird again. I really hope it’s not reaching the end of its useful life, because I *depend* on my phone. I also haven’t budgeted for buying a new one anytime soon. I probably should do that, just in case.
Theo Walcott is out of this summer’s World Cup (and more pertinent to Arsenal, for the rest of the club season) with a ruptured cruciate ligament. I have only the haziest idea of what and where a cruciate ligament is, but if he’ll be out for 6-8 months with it, evidently it’s an important part of the body. England-Supporting Co-Worker and I had a very grave discussion about it by the water cooler. It prompted another co-worker, who knows nothing about footie, to say, “I’m sorry about your friend’s injury.” She had assumed from our mournful tone England-Supporting Co-Worker and I were talking about a mutual friend, not a total stranger. It was quite funny, but I daresay Roy Hodgson is not amused. The England-supporting part of me is not particularly amused either.
