recessional and
tevere, have a really interesting article on accuracy in historical fiction, using the Showtime TV series The Borgias and another show, Borgia: Faith & Fear as examples. I've never watched either show, so I can't comment on how well Ex Urbe interprets them, but it was a very interesting read all the same.
In other news, I woke up at 8 am to Young Miss Weaver knocking my phone off the bedside table onto the floor. It's unharmed, but the anxiety of "is my phone broken" woke me WAY up, on my day off, which seems grossly unfair.
In yet more news, I am feeling very aggrieved with Twitter. My account was hacked a few days ago, and I had to change my password. It should not be so easy to hack a person's account. Of course, with a free service, you get what you pay for.
