We had a provincial election today. As I was walking to the polling place, I overtook a dad with a little girl of about 9 or 10 years old, having a passionate conversation about cyborgs. Geeks of the world unite.
tightropegirl is back after a long hiatus, and she has a post about the TV industry and how creativity gets ground down by the process of making scripts into TV. It's amazing to me that ANY quality movies and TV get made at all, after reading this. Fascinating insights.
