Still on the subject of the Jeffrey Delisle spying scandal, the Russian Ambassador to Canada explains how Delisle's unmasking won't damage Russo-Canadian relations one little bit. Hee!

Mind you, what ELSE is he supposed to say? I feel a teensy-tiny bit sorry for the guy, even though he probably got the job in the first place by being a crony of that crook Putin. Spin, spin, madly spin, but rather unsuccessfully. Must have been an uncomfortable press conference. Well, for the ambassador. Less so for the reporters.

Of course, I use the word "scandal", but word of it doesn't seem to have reached outside Canada yet. I can't decide whether this is a good thing (our country's allies will simply fail to notice that we had a major security breach) or a bad thing (Canada is so unimportant that nobody in the international community cares if a Naval officer was making like it was still the Cold War,a nd selling secrets to the Russians).

I mean, when the USA had a Russian spy unmasked, Anna Chapman, it made international headlines. I'm pouting here because our spy didn't get international headlines. Is he not pretty enough?
