Went for coffee with aj on Tuesday after work, as she was in town. I think she found Vancouver very different from her corner of the People’s Republic of of America. It’s always a little weird meeting someone for the first time in person when you feel like you already know them. But it went pretty well, and neither one of us turned out to be an axe murderer. It is odd, though, to hear the Midwestern accent, because I think of people from the US Midwest as not having a regional accent, and yet obviously they do. It’s not massively different from our West Coast of Canada accent, but the differences are there.
Then I went home and watched the Barcelona v. AC Milan game, which was awesome. Totally entertaining.
