So you know that thing I linked to last week regarding a judge in Michigan giving joint custody of the product of his rape to a convicted rapist? Well, there's now a petition for the state of Michigan to initiate proceedings to have Judge Ross removed from the bench. Yay!
A few days ago something truly historic happened. Calico Fiend was perched up on the top of the sofa, grazing away at her dinner. Young Miss Weaver jumped up on the seat of the couch, directly below her, either in hopes of pieces of dry food falling from CF's perch, or in hopes of CF losing interest in her food and wandering off. I was bracing myself for hissing and yowling, like every other time the two of them got within swiping distance. But nothing happened. CF ignored YMW in favour of her dinner, and after a few minutes YMW jumped down off the couch and wandered off. And then the exact same thing happened this morning.
I don't think they're buddy-buddy, exactly, but they definitely seem to be tolerating each other much better than when they were first introduced.

Date: 2017-10-20 02:32 am (UTC)Oh, and apparently the judge in question has reversed the decision, following a massive public outcry. I had a link, but I lost it, and I'm too tired to fire up google again.
