Well, one friend and I did manage to get to a Greek restaurant local to us on Friday, Feb 3 which turned out to be participating in Dine Out Vancouver, but we ended up not actually eating from the special menu. That particular restaurant is known for big portions, and we never eat a 3 course meal there.
A land without ice and snow, that sounds awfully pleasant. But does it have earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, etc? There always seems to be a tradeoff of some kind.
Vancouver usually gets maybe 2 or 3 days of snow a year, and it's usually rained away pretty quickly. These past few winters we didn't get ANY snow. I guess Mother Nature was saving up. We got about 5 weeks of snow, starting early December and ending early January.
Then this past Friday morning, it started snowing again, and has snowed on and off all weekend. Aaaarrrggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!
