[personal profile] skygiants has great reviews here of Laura, the '40s crime novel by Vera Caspary, and also of the 1944 noir movie starring Gene Tierney which was based on the novel. Beware, spoilers abound.

I myself saw "Laura" (the movie) at age 14 or so and fell headlong in lust with Gene Tierney's Laura (the character). I had a serious crush for a good six months. I don't remember who my next crush object was. Maybe it's time for a rewatch, and a tracking down of the Caspary book.

Talk to me about "The Expanse", people. Someone on my f-list/dwircle, I forget who, enthused over it a great deal. Is it worth watching, according to other people on my f-list? Just trying to get some more data points here before I commit.

Sleepy, going to bed.
